Exodus 10:22-25
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 10
22
So Moses reached out with his hand toward the sky, and there was thick darkness in all the land of Egypt for three days.
23
They did not see one another, nor did anyone rise from his place for three days, but all the sons of Israel had light in their dwellings.
24
Then Pharaoh called for Moses, and said, 'Go, serve the
Lord
; only let your flocks and your herds be left behind. Even your little ones may go with you.'
25
But Moses said, 'You must also let us have sacrifices and burnt offerings, so that we may sacrifice
them
to the
Lord
our God.
King James Version
Chapter 10
22
And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:
23
They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.
24
And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go ye, serve the
Lord
; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you.
25
And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the
Lord
our God.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 10
22
So Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven, and there was thick darkness throughout the land of Egypt for three days.
23
One person could not see another, and for three days they did not move from where they were. Yet all the Israelites had light where they lived.
24
Pharaoh summoned Moses and said, "Go, worship the
Lord
. Even your families may go with you; only your flocks and herds must stay behind."
25
Moses responded, "You must also let us have sacrifices and burnt offerings to prepare for the
Lord
our God.
New Living Translation
Chapter 10
22
So Moses lifted his hand to the sky, and a deep darkness covered the entire land of Egypt for three days.
23
During all that time the people could not see each other, and no one moved. But there was light as usual where the people of Israel lived.
24
Finally, Pharaoh called for Moses. 'Go and worship the
Lord
,' he said. 'But leave your flocks and herds here. You may even take your little ones with you.'
25
No,' Moses said, 'you must provide us with animals for sacrifices and burnt offerings to the
Lord
our God.
