Now after five days the high priest Ananias came down with some elders and an attorney
named
Tertullus, and they brought charges against Paul to the governor.
2
After Paul had been summoned, Tertullus began accusing him, saying
to the governor,
'Since we have attained great peace through you, and since reforms are being carried out for this nation by your foresight,

And after five days Ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and with a certain orator named Tertullus, who informed the governor against Paul.

And when he was called forth, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy great quietness, and that very worthy deeds are done unto this nation by thy providence,

Five days later Ananias the high priest came down with some elders and a lawyer named Tertullus. These men presented their case against Paul to the governor.

When Paul was called in, Tertullus began to accuse him and said: "We enjoy great peace because of you, and reforms are taking place for the benefit of this nation because of your foresight.

Five days later Ananias, the high priest, arrived with some of the Jewish elders and the lawyer Tertullus, to present their case against Paul to the governor.

When Paul was called in, Tertullus presented the charges against Paul in the following address to the governor: 'You have provided a long period of peace for us Jews and with foresight have enacted reforms for us.
