Acts 13:25-28
New American Standard Bible
26Brothers, sons of Abraham’s family, and those among you who fear God, to us the message of this salvation has been sent.
27For those who live in Jerusalem, and their rulers, recognizing neither Him nor the declarations of the prophets which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled these by condemning Him.
28And though they found no grounds for putting Him to death, they asked Pilate that He be executed.
King James Version
Chapter 13
25And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose. 26Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent. 27For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him. 28And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.Christian Standard Bible
26"Brothers and sisters, children of Abraham's race, and those among you who fear God, it is to us that the word of this salvation has been sent.
27Since the residents of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize him or the sayings of the prophets that are read every Sabbath, they have fulfilled their words by condemning him.
28Though they found no grounds for the death sentence, they asked Pilate to have him killed.
New Living Translation
26Brothers — you sons of Abraham, and also you God-fearing Gentiles — this message of salvation has been sent to us!
27The people in Jerusalem and their leaders did not recognize Jesus as the one the prophets had spoken about. Instead, they condemned him, and in doing this they fulfilled the prophets’ words that are read every Sabbath.
28They found no legal reason to execute him, but they asked Pilate to have him killed anyway.
English Standard Version
26“Brothers, sons of the family of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, to us has been sent the message of this salvation.
27For those who live in Jerusalem and their rulers, because they did not recognize him nor understand the utterances of the prophets, which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled them by condemning him.
28And though they found in him no guilt worthy of death, they asked Pilate to have him executed.
New International Version
26Fellow children of Abraham and you God-fearing Gentiles, it is to us that this message of salvation has been sent.
27The people of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize Jesus, yet in condemning him they fulfilled the words of the prophets that are read every Sabbath.
28Though they found no proper ground for a death sentence, they asked Pilate to have him executed.
New King James Version
26“Men and brethren, sons of the family of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, to you the word of this salvation has been sent.
27For those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they did not know Him, nor even the voices of the Prophets which are read every Sabbath, have fulfilled them in condemning Him.
