Acts 13:34-35
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 13
34
As for the fact
that He raised Him from the dead, never again to return to decay, He has spoken in this way: ‘I WILL GIVE YOU THE HOLY
and
faithful
mercies
of DAVID.’
35
Therefore, He also says in another
Psalm:
‘YOU WILL NOT ALLOW YOUR HOLY ONE TO UNDERGO DECAY.’
King James Version
Chapter 13
34
And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.
35
Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 13
34
As to his raising him from the dead, never to return to decay, he has spoken in this way,
I will give you the holy and sure promises of David.
35
Therefore he also says in another passage,
You will not let your Holy One see decay.
New Living Translation
Chapter 13
34
For God had promised to raise him from the dead, not leaving him to rot in the grave. He said, ‘I will give you the sacred blessings I promised to David.’
35
Another psalm explains it more fully: ‘You will not allow your Holy One to rot in the grave.’
English Standard Version
Chapter 13
34
And as for the fact that he raised him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, he has spoken in this way,
"‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.’
35
Therefore he says also in another psalm,
"‘You will not let your Holy One see corruption.’
New International Version
Chapter 13
34
God raised him from the dead so that he will never be subject to decay. As God has said,
" ‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.’
35
So it is also stated elsewhere:
" ‘You will not let your holy one see decay.’
New King James Version
Chapter 13
34
And that He raised Him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, He has spoken thus:
‘I will give you the sure mercies of David.’
35
Therefore He also says in another
Psalm:
‘You will not allow Your Holy One to see corruption.’
