And his servants rose up and formed a conspiracy; and they struck and killed Joash at the house of Millo
as he was
going down to Silla.

For Jozacar the son of Shimeath and Jehozabad the son of Shomer, his servants, struck
him
and he died; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David, and his son Amaziah became king in his place.

And his servants arose, and made a conspiracy, and slew Joash in the house of Millo, which goeth down to Silla.

For Jozachar the son of Shimeath, and Jehozabad the son of Shomer, his servants, smote him, and he died; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Amaziah his son reigned in his stead.

Joash’s servants conspired against him and attacked him at Beth-millo on the road that goes down to Silla.

It was his servants Jozabad son of Shimeath and Jehozabad son of Shomer who attacked him. He died and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David, and his son Amaziah became king in his place.

Joash’s officers plotted against him and assassinated him at Beth-millo on the road to Silla.

The assassins were Jozacar son of Shimeath and Jehozabad son of Shomer — both trusted advisers. Joash was buried with his ancestors in the City of David. Then his son Amaziah became the next king.

His servants arose and made a conspiracy and struck down Joash in the house of Millo, on the way that goes down to Silla.

It was Jozacar the son of Shimeath and Jehozabad the son of Shomer, his servants, who struck him down, so that he died. And they buried him with his fathers in the city of David, and Amaziah his son reigned in his place.

His officials conspired against him and assassinated him at Beth Millo, on the road down to Silla.

The officials who murdered him were Jozabad son of Shimeath and Jehozabad son of Shomer. He died and was buried with his ancestors in the City of David. And Amaziah his son succeeded him as king.
