Chapter 15

54But when this perishable puts on the imperishable, and this mortal puts on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written: 'DEATH HAS BEEN SWALLOWED UP in victory. 55WHERE, O DEATH, IS YOUR VICTORY? WHERE, O DEATH, IS YOUR STING?' 56The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law; 57but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

54So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
