1 Corinthians 11:18-21
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 11
18For, in the first place, when you come together as a church, I hear that divisions exist among you; and in part I believe it. 19For there also have to be factions among you, so that those who are approved may become evident among you. 20Therefore when you come together it is not to eat the Lord’s Supper, 21for when you eat, each one takes his own supper first; and one goes hungry while another gets drunk.King James Version
Chapter 11
18For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it. 19For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you. 20When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper. 21For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 11
18For to begin with, I hear that when you come together as a church there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it. 19Indeed, it is necessary that there be factions among you, so that those who are approved may be recognized among you. 20When you come together, then, it is not to eat the Lord's Supper. 21For at the meal, each one eats his own supper. So one person is hungry while another gets drunk!New Living Translation

Chapter 11
18For, in the first place, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you. And I believe it in part, 19for there must be factions among you in order that those who are genuine among you may be recognized. 20When you come together, it is not the Lord’s supper that you eat. 21For in eating, each one goes ahead with his own meal. One goes hungry, another gets drunk.New International Version
Chapter 11
18In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and to some extent I believe it. 19No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God's approval. 20So then, when you come together, it is not the Lord's Supper you eat, 21for when you are eating, some of you go ahead with your own private suppers. As a result, one person remains hungry and another gets drunk.New King James Version
