1 Chronicles 19:5

ESV and they departed. When David was told concerning the men, he sent messengers to meet them, for the men were greatly ashamed. And the king said, “Remain at Jericho until your beards have grown and then return.”
NIV When someone came and told David about the men, he sent messengers to meet them, for they were greatly humiliated. The king said, 'Stay at Jericho till your beards have grown, and then come back.'
NASB Then certain people went and told David about the men. And he sent messengers to meet them, because the men were very humiliated. And the king said, 'Stay at Jericho until your beards grow back, then return.'
