Chapter 4
14Then the women said to Naomi, 'Blessed is the Lord who has not left you without a redeemer today, and may his name become famous in Israel. 15May he also be to you one who restores life and sustains your old age; for your daughter-in-law, who loves you and is better to you than seven sons, has given birth to him.'King James Version

14And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the Lord, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel. 15And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath born him. 16And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it. 17And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David. 18Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron,Christian Standard Bible

14The women said to Naomi, "Blessed be the Lord, who has not left you without a family redeemer today. May his name become well known in Israel. 15He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. Indeed, your daughter-in-law, who loves you and is better to you than seven sons, has given birth to him." 16Naomi took the child, placed him on her lap, and became his nanny. 17The neighbor women said, "A son has been born to Naomi," and they named him Obed. 14Then the women of the town said to Naomi, 'Praise the Lord, who has now provided a redeemer for your family! May this child be famous in Israel. 15May he restore your youth and care for you in your old age. For he is the son of your daughter-in-law who loves you and has been better to you than seven sons!'
16Naomi took the baby and cuddled him to her breast. And she cared for him as if he were her own.
17The neighbor women said, 'Now at last Naomi has a son again!' And they named him Obed. He became the father of Jesse and the grandfather of David.
18This is the genealogical record of their ancestor Perez: Perez was the father of Hezron.
19Hezron was the father of Ram. Ram was the father of Amminadab.
20Amminadab was the father of Nahshon. Nahshon was the father of Salmon.
21Salmon was the father of Boaz. Boaz was the father of Obed.
22Obed was the father of Jesse. Jesse was the father of David.
