Chapter 1
15Then she said, 'Behold, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and her gods; return after your sister-in-law.' 16But Ruth said, 'Do not plead with me to leave you or to turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you sleep, I will sleep. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. 17Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord do so to me, and worse, if anything but death separates me from you.'King James Version

15And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law. 16And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: 17Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.Christian Standard Bible
16But Ruth replied: Don’t plead with me to abandon you or to return and not follow you. For wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you live, I will live; your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.
17Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord punish me, and do so severely, if anything but death separates you and me.

16But Ruth replied, 'Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.
17Wherever you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord punish me severely if I allow anything but death to separate us!'
