Chapter 2
2Make your ear attentive to wisdom; Incline your heart to understanding. 3For if you cry out for insight, And raise your voice for understanding; 4If you seek her as silver And search for her as for hidden treasures; 5Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And discover the knowledge of God. 6For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. 7He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, 8Guarding the paths of justice, And He watches over the way of His godly ones. 9Then you will discern righteousness, justice, And integrity, and every good path. 10For wisdom will enter your heart, And knowledge will be delightful to your soul; 11Discretion will watch over you, Understanding will guard you, 12To rescue you from the way of evil, From a person who speaks perverse things; 13 From those who leave the paths of uprightness To walk in the ways of darkness; 14Who delight in doing evil And rejoice in the perversity of evil; 15Whose paths are crooked, And who are devious in their ways; 16To rescue you from the strange woman, From the foreign woman who flatters with her words, 17Who leaves the companion of her youth And forgets the covenant of her God; 18For her house sinks down to death, And her tracks lead to the dead; 19None who go to her return, Nor do they reach the paths of life. 20So you will walk in the way of good people And keep to the paths of the righteous. 21For the upright will live in the land, And the blameless will remain in it; 22But the wicked will be eliminated from the land, And the treacherous will be torn away from it.King James Version

2So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; 3Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; 4If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; 5Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. 6For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. 7He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. 8He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. 9Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
10When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
11Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
12To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
13Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
14Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
15Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
16To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
17Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
18For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
19None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
20That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
21For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.

Chapter 2
2listening closely to wisdom and directing your heart to understanding; 3furthermore, if you call out to insight and lift your voice to understanding, 4if you seek it like silver and search for it like hidden treasure, 5then you will understand the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God. 6For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. 7He stores up success for the upright; He is a shield for those who live with integrity 8so that he may guard the paths of justice and protect the way of his faithful followers. 9Then you will understand righteousness, justice, and integrity--every good path. 10For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will delight you. 11Discretion will watch over you, and understanding will guard you. 12It will rescue you from the way of evil -- from anyone who says perverse things, 13from those who abandon the right paths to walk in ways of darkness, 14from those who enjoy doing evil and celebrate perversion, 15whose paths are crooked, and whose ways are devious. 16It will rescue you from a forbidden woman, from a wayward woman with her flattering talk, 17who abandons the companion of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God; 18for her house sinks down to death and her ways to the land of the departed spirits. 19None return who go to her; none reach the paths of life. 20So follow the way of the good, and keep to the paths of the righteous. 21For the upright will inhabit the land, and those of integrity will remain in it; 22but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the treacherous ripped out of it.New Living Translation
Chapter 2
2Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. 3Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. 4Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. 5Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. 6For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. 7He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. 8He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him.
9Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go.
10For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy.
11Wise choices will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe.
12Wisdom will save you from evil people, from those whose words are twisted.
13These men turn from the right way to walk down dark paths.
14They take pleasure in doing wrong, and they enjoy the twisted ways of evil.
15Their actions are crooked, and their ways are wrong.
16Wisdom will save you from the immoral woman, from the seductive words of the promiscuous woman.
17She has abandoned her husband and ignores the covenant she made before God.
18Entering her house leads to death; it is the road to the grave.
19The man who visits her is doomed. He will never reach the paths of life.

16Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words,
17who has left the partner of her youth and ignored the covenant she made before God.
18Surely her house leads down to death and her paths to the spirits of the dead.
19None who go to her return or attain the paths of life.
20Thus you will walk in the ways of the good and keep to the paths of the righteous.
21For the upright will live in the land, and the blameless will remain in it;
22but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the unfaithful will be torn from it.
