Numbers 18:25-29
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 18
25
Then the
Lord
spoke to Moses, saying,
26
Moreover, you shall speak to the Levites and say to them, ‘When you take from the sons of Israel the tithe which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then you shall present an offering from it to the
Lord
, a tithe of the tithe.
27
Your offering shall be credited to you like the grain from the threshing floor or the full produce from the wine vat.
28
So you shall also present an offering to the
Lord
from all your tithes, which you receive from the sons of Israel; and from it you shall give the
Lord
’S offering to Aaron the priest.
29
Out of all your gifts you shall present every offering due to the
Lord
, from all the best of them, the sacred part from them.’
King James Version
Chapter 18
25
And the
Lord
spake unto Moses, saying,
26
Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the
Lord
, even a tenth part of the tithe.
27
And this your heave offering shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the corn of the threshingfloor, and as the fulness of the winepress.
28
Thus ye also shall offer an heave offering unto the
Lord
of all your tithes, which ye receive of the children of Israel; and ye shall give thereof the
Lord
'S heave offering to Aaron the priest.
29
Out of all your gifts ye shall offer every heave offering of the
Lord
, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 18
25
The
Lord
instructed Moses,
26
"Speak to the Levites and tell them: When you receive from the Israelites the tenth that I have given you as your inheritance, you are to present part of it as an offering to the
Lord
—a tenth of the tenth.
27
Your offering will be credited to you as if it were your grain from the threshing floor or the full harvest from the winepress.
28
You are to present an offering to the
Lord
from every tenth you receive from the Israelites. Give some of it to the priest Aaron as an offering to the
Lord
.
29
You must present the entire offering due the
Lord
from all your gifts. The best part of the tenth is to be consecrated.
New Living Translation
Chapter 18
25
The
Lord
also told Moses,
26
Give these instructions to the Levites: When you receive from the people of Israel the tithes I have assigned as your allotment, give a tenth of the tithes you receive — a tithe of the tithe — to the
Lord
as a sacred offering.
27
The
Lord
will consider this offering to be your harvest offering, as though it were the first grain from your own threshing floor or wine from your own winepress.
28
You must present one-tenth of the tithe received from the Israelites as a sacred offering to the
Lord
. This is the
Lord
’s sacred portion, and you must present it to Aaron the priest.
29
Be sure to give to the
Lord
the best portions of the gifts given to you.
English Standard Version
Chapter 18
25
And the
Lord
spoke to Moses, saying,
26
"Moreover, you shall speak and say to the Levites, ‘When you take from the people of Israel the tithe that I have given you from them for your inheritance, then you shall present a contribution from it to the
Lord
, a tithe of the tithe.
27
And your contribution shall be counted to you as though it were the grain of the threshing floor, and as the fullness of the winepress.
28
So you shall also present a contribution to the
Lord
from all your tithes, which you receive from the people of Israel. And from it you shall give the
Lord
's contribution to Aaron the priest.
29
Out of all the gifts to you, you shall present every contribution due to the
Lord
; from each its best part is to be dedicated.’
New International Version
Chapter 18
25
The
Lord
said to Moses,
26
"Speak to the Levites and say to them: ‘When you receive from the Israelites the tithe I give you as your inheritance, you must present a tenth of that tithe as the
Lord
’s offering.
27
Your offering will be reckoned to you as grain from the threshing floor or juice from the winepress.
28
In this way you also will present an offering to the
Lord
from all the tithes you receive from the Israelites. From these tithes you must give the
Lord
’s portion to Aaron the priest.
29
You must present as the
Lord
’s portion the best and holiest part of everything given to you.’
New King James Version
Chapter 18
25
Then the
Lord
spoke to Moses, saying,
26
“Speak thus to the Levites, and say to them: ‘When you take from the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them as your inheritance, then you shall offer up a heave offering of it to the
Lord
, a tenth of the tithe.
27
And your heave offering shall be reckoned to you as though
it were
the grain of the threshing floor and as the fullness of the winepress.
28
Thus you shall also offer a heave offering to the
Lord
from all your tithes which you receive from the children of Israel, and you shall give the
Lord
’s heave offering from it to Aaron the priest.
29
Of all your gifts you shall offer up every heave offering due to the
Lord
, from all the best of them, the consecrated part of them.’
