Numbers 18:17-18
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 18
17
But the firstborn of an ox, the firstborn of a sheep, or the firstborn of a goat, you shall not redeem; they are holy. You shall sprinkle their blood on the altar and offer up their fat in smoke
as
an offering by fire, for a soothing aroma to the
Lord
.
18
However, their meat shall be yours; it shall be yours like the breast of a wave offering and like the right thigh.
King James Version
Chapter 18
17
But the firstling of a cow, or the firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a goat, thou shalt not redeem; they are holy: thou shalt sprinkle their blood upon the altar, and shalt burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a sweet savour unto the
Lord
.
18
And the flesh of them shall be thine, as the wave breast and as the right shoulder are thine.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 18
17
"However, you must not redeem the firstborn of an ox, a sheep, or a goat; they are holy. You are to splatter their blood on the altar and burn their fat as a fire offering for a pleasing aroma to the
Lord
.
18
But their meat belongs to you. It belongs to you like the breast of the presentation offering and the right thigh.
New Living Translation
Chapter 18
17
However, you may not redeem the firstborn of cattle, sheep, or goats. They are holy and have been set apart for the
Lord
. Sprinkle their blood on the altar, and burn their fat as a special gift, a pleasing aroma to the
Lord
.
18
The meat of these animals will be yours, just like the breast and right thigh that are presented by lifting them up as a special offering before the altar.
English Standard Version
Chapter 18
17
But the firstborn of a cow, or the firstborn of a sheep, or the firstborn of a goat, you shall not redeem; they are holy. You shall sprinkle their blood on the altar and shall burn their fat as a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the
Lord
.
18
But their flesh shall be yours, as the breast that is waved and as the right thigh are yours.
New International Version
Chapter 18
17
"But you must not redeem the firstborn of a cow, a sheep or a goat; they are holy. Splash their blood against the altar and burn their fat as a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the
Lord

Their meat is to be yours, just as the breast of the wave offering and the right thigh are yours.
New King James Version
Chapter 18
17
But the firstborn of a cow, the firstborn of a sheep, or the firstborn of a goat you shall not redeem; they
are

18
And their flesh shall be yours, just as the wave breast and the right thigh are yours.
