Micah 6:10-15
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 6
10Is there still a person in the wicked house, Along with treasures of wickedness, And a short measure that is cursed? 11Can I justify dishonest balances, And a bag of fraudulent weights? 12For the rich people of the city are full of violence, Her residents speak lies, And their tongue is deceitful in their mouth. 13So also I will make you sick, striking you down, Making you desolate because of your sins. 14You will eat, but you will not be satisfied, And your filth will be in your midst. You will try to remove valuables for safekeeping, But you will not save it all, And what you do save I will turn over to the sword. 15You will sow but you will not harvest. You will tread the olive press but will not anoint yourself with oil; And tread out sweet wine, but you will not drink any wine.King James Version
Chapter 6
10Are there yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is abominable? 11Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights? 12For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth. 13Therefore also will I make thee sick in smiting thee, in making thee desolate because of thy sins. 14Thou shalt eat, but not be satisfied; and thy casting down shall be in the midst of thee; and thou shalt take hold, but shalt not deliver; and that which thou deliverest will I give up to the sword. 15Thou shalt sow, but thou shalt not reap; thou shalt tread the olives, but thou shalt not anoint thee with oil; and sweet wine, but shalt not drink wine.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 6
10Are there still the treasures of wickedness and the accursed short measure in the house of the wicked? 11Can I excuse wicked scales or bags of deceptive weights?
12For the wealthy of the city are full of violence, and its residents speak lies; the tongues in their mouths are deceitful.
13"As a result, I have begun to strike you severely, bringing desolation because of your sins.
14You will eat but not be satisfied, for there will be hunger within you. What you acquire, you cannot save, and what you do save, I will give to the sword.
15You will sow but not reap; you will press olives but not anoint yourself with oil; and you will tread grapes but not drink the wine.
New Living Translation
Chapter 6
10What shall I say about the homes of the wicked filled with treasures gained by cheating? What about the disgusting practice of measuring out grain with dishonest measures? 11How can I tolerate your merchants who use dishonest scales and weights? 12The rich among you have become wealthy through extortion and violence. Your citizens are so used to lying that their tongues can no longer tell the truth.
13'Therefore, I will wound you! I will bring you to ruin for all your sins.
14You will eat but never have enough. Your hunger pangs and emptiness will remain. And though you try to save your money, it will come to nothing in the end. You will save a little, but I will give it to those who conquer you.
15You will plant crops but not harvest them. You will press your olives but not get enough oil to anoint yourselves. You will trample the grapes but get no juice to make your wine.

Chapter 6
10Can I forget any longer the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is accursed? 11Shall I acquit the man with wicked scales and with a bag of deceitful weights? 12Your rich men are full of violence; your inhabitants speak lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth. 13Therefore I strike you with a grievous blow, making you desolate because of your sins. 14You shall eat, but not be satisfied, and there shall be hunger within you; you shall put away, but not preserve, and what you preserve I will give to the sword. 15You shall sow, but not reap; you shall tread olives, but not anoint yourselves with oil; you shall tread grapes, but not drink wine.New International Version
Chapter 6
10Am I still to forget your ill-gotten treasures, you wicked house, and the short ephah, which is accursed? 11Shall I acquit someone with dishonest scales, with a bag of false weights? 12Your rich people are violent; your inhabitants are liars and their tongues speak deceitfully. 13Therefore, I have begun to destroy you, to ruin you because of your sins. 14You will eat but not be satisfied; your stomach will still be empty. You will store up but save nothing, because what you save I will give to the sword. 15You will plant but not harvest; you will press olives but not use the oil, you will crush grapes but not drink the wine.New King James Version
