Matthew 8:24-27
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 8
24
And behold, a violent storm developed on the sea, so that the boat was being covered by the waves; but
Jesus
Himself was asleep.
25
And they came to
Him
and woke Him, saying, 'Save
us,
Lord; we are perishing!'
26
He *said to them, 'Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?' Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it became perfectly calm.
27
The men were amazed, and said, 'What kind of a man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?'
King James Version
Chapter 8
24
And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
25
And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
26
And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
27
But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
Christian Standard Bible

So the disciples came and woke him up, saying, "Lord, save us! We’re going to die!"
26
He said to them, "Why are you afraid, you of little faith?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
27
The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the sea obey him!"
New Living Translation
Chapter 8
24
Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.
25
The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, 'Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!'
26
Jesus responded, 'Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!' Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.
27
The disciples were amazed. 'Who is this man?' they asked. 'Even the winds and waves obey him!'
