20Moreover, pray that when you flee, it will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath. 21For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will again. 22And if those days had not been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.King James Version

Chapter 24
20Pray that your escape may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. 21For at that time there will be great distress, the kind that hasn't taken place from the beginning of the world until now and never will again. 22Unless those days were cut short, no one would be saved. But those days will be cut short because of the elect.New Living Translation
Chapter 24
20And pray that your flight will not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21For there will be greater anguish than at any time since the world began. And it will never be so great again. 22In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened, not a single person will survive. But it will be shortened for the sake of God’s chosen ones.English Standard Version
