Chapter 19

21Jesus said to him, 'If you want to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.' 22But when the young man heard this statement, he went away grieving; for he was one who owned much property.
23And Jesus said to His disciples, 'Truly I say to you, it will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.' 25When the disciples heard this, they were very astonished and said, 'Then who can be saved?'

21Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. 22But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
23Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 25When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

25The disciples were astounded. 'Then who in the world can be saved?' they asked.
