And when he had begun to settle
them,
one who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him.
25
But since he did not have
the means
to repay, his master commanded that he be sold, along with his wife and children and all that he had, and repayment be made.

And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.

But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

When he began to settle accounts, one who owed ten thousand talents was brought before him.

Since he did not have the money to pay it back, his master commanded that he, his wife, his children, and everything he had be sold to pay the debt.

In the process, one of his debtors was brought in who owed him millions of dollars.
25
He couldn’t pay, so his master ordered that he be sold — along with his wife, his children, and everything he owned — to pay the debt.
