And raising their eyes, they saw no one except Jesus Himself alone.

When they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, 'Tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man has risen from the dead.'

And His disciples asked Him, 'Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?'

And He answered and said, 'Elijah is coming and will restore all things;

And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.

And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus commanded them, "Don’t tell anyone about the vision until the Son of Man is raised from the dead."

So the disciples asked him, "Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?"

"Elijah is coming and will restore everything," he replied.

And when they looked up, Moses and Elijah were gone, and they saw only Jesus.

As they went back down the mountain, Jesus commanded them, 'Don’t tell anyone what you have seen until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.'

Then his disciples asked him, 'Why do the teachers of religious law insist that Elijah must return before the Messiah comes? '

Jesus replied, 'Elijah is indeed coming first to get everything ready.
