Matthew 15:23-29
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 15
23
But He did not answer her
with even
a word. And His disciples came up and urged Him, saying, 'Send her away, because she keeps shouting at us!'
24
But He answered and said, 'I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.'
25
But she came and
began
to bow down before Him, saying, 'Lord, help me!'
26
Yet He answered and said, 'It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.'
27
And she said, 'Yes, Lord;
but please help,
for even the dogs feed on the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.'
28
Then Jesus said to her, 'O woman, your faith is great; it shall be done for you as you desire.' And her daughter was healed at once.
29
Departing from there, Jesus went along the Sea of Galilee, and after going up on the mountain, He was sitting there.
King James Version
Chapter 15
23
But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24
But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25
Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26
But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27
And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
28
Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
29
And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.

Chapter 15
23
Jesus did not say a word to her. His disciples approached him and urged him, "Send her away because she’s crying out after us."
24
He replied, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
25
But she came, knelt before him, and said, "Lord, help me!"
26
He answered, "It isn’t right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs."
27
"Yes, Lord," she said, "yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table."
28
Then Jesus replied to her, "Woman, your faith is great. Let it be done for you as you want." And from that moment her daughter was healed.
29
Moving on from there, Jesus passed along the Sea of Galilee. He went up on a mountain and sat there,
New Living Translation
Chapter 15
23
But Jesus gave her no reply, not even a word. Then his disciples urged him to send her away. 'Tell her to go away,' they said. 'She is bothering us with all her begging.'
24
Then Jesus said to the woman, 'I was sent only to help God’s lost sheep — the people of Israel.'
25
But she came and worshiped him, pleading again, 'Lord, help me!'
26
Jesus responded, 'It isn’t right to take food from the children and throw it to the dogs.'
27
She replied, 'That’s true, Lord, but even dogs are allowed to eat the scraps that fall beneath their masters’ table.'
28
Dear woman,' Jesus said to her, 'your faith is great. Your request is granted.' And her daughter was instantly healed.
29
Jesus returned to the Sea of Galilee and climbed a hill and sat down.
