But He said to them, 'What man is there among you who has a sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out?

How much more valuable then is a person than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.'

And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift

How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

He replied to them, "Who among you, if he had a sheep that fell into a pit on the Sabbath, wouldn't take hold of it and lift it out?

A person is worth far more than a sheep; so it is lawful to do what is good on the Sabbath."

And he answered, 'If you had a sheep that fell into a well on the Sabbath, wouldn’t you work to pull it out? Of course you would.

And how much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Yes, the law permits a person to do good on the Sabbath.'
