And He was saying to her, 'Let the children be satisfied first, for it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.'

But she answered and *said to Him, 'Yes, Lord,
but
even the dogs under the table feed on the children’s crumbs.'

But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast
it
unto the dogs.

And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.

He said to her, "Let the children be fed first, because it isn't right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."

But she replied to him, "Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs."
New Living Translation
Chapter 7

Jesus told her, 'First I should feed the children — my own family, the Jews. It isn’t right to take food from the children and throw it to the dogs.'
28
She replied, 'That’s true, Lord, but even the dogs under the table are allowed to eat the scraps from the children’s plates.'
