Mark 5:29-36
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 5
29
And immediately the flow of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.
30
And immediately Jesus, perceiving in Himself that power from Him had gone out, turned around in the crowd and said, 'Who touched My garments?'
31
And His disciples said to Him, 'You see the crowd pressing in on You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’?'
32
And He looked around to see the woman who had done this.
33
But the woman, fearing and trembling, aware of what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.
34
And He said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace and be cured of your disease.'
35
While He was still speaking,
people
*came from
the house of
the synagogue official, saying, 'Your daughter has died; why bother the Teacher further?'
36
But Jesus, overhearing what was being spoken, *said to the synagogue official, 'Do not be afraid, only believe.'
King James Version
Chapter 5
29
And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
30
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes
31
And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32
And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
33
But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34
And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
35
While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?
36
As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 5
29
Instantly her flow of blood ceased, and she sensed in her body that she was healed of her affliction.
30
At once Jesus realized in himself that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and said, "Who touched my clothes?"
31
His disciples said to him, "You see the crowd pressing against you, and yet you say, ‘Who touched me?’"
32
But he was looking around to see who had done this.
33
The woman, with fear and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before him, and told him the whole truth.
34
"Daughter," he said to her, "your faith has saved you. Go in peace and be healed from your affliction."
35
While he was still speaking, people came from the synagogue leader’s house and said, "Your daughter is dead. Why bother the teacher anymore?"
36
When Jesus overheard what was said, he told the synagogue leader, "Don’t be afraid. Only believe."
New Living Translation
Chapter 5
29
Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition.
30
Jesus realized at once that healing power had gone out from him, so he turned around in the crowd and asked, 'Who touched my robe?'
31
His disciples said to him, 'Look at this crowd pressing around you. How can you ask, ‘Who touched me?’'
32
But he kept on looking around to see who had done it.
33
Then the frightened woman, trembling at the realization of what had happened to her, came and fell to her knees in front of him and told him what she had done.
34
And he said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.'
35
While he was still speaking to her, messengers arrived from the home of Jairus, the leader of the synagogue. They told him, 'Your daughter is dead. There’s no use troubling the Teacher now.'
36
But Jesus overheard them and said to Jairus, 'Don’t be afraid. Just have faith.'
