Chapter 10
21Looking at him, Jesus showed love to him and said to him, 'One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.' 22But he was deeply dismayed by these words, and he went away grieving; for he was one who owned much property.
23And Jesus, looking around, *said to His disciples, 'How hard it will be for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!'
24And the disciples were amazed at His words. But Jesus responded again and *said to them, 'Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!
25It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.'
26And they were even more astonished, and said to Him, 'Then who can be saved?'
27Looking at them, Jesus *said, 'With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.'
28Peter began to say to Him, 'Behold, we have left everything and have followed You.'
29Jesus said, 'Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake,
30but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.
31But many who are first will be last, and the last, first.'

21Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. 22And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
23And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
24And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
25It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?
27And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
28Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.
29And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
30But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

23Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, 'How hard it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God!'
24This amazed them. But Jesus said again, 'Dear children, it is very hard to enter the Kingdom of God.
25In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!'
29Yes,' Jesus replied, 'and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News,
30will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property — along with persecution. And in the world to come that person will have eternal life.
31But many who are the greatest now will be least important then, and those who seem least important now will be the greatest then. '

23And Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How difficult it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!"
24And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said to them again, "Children, how difficult it is to enter the kingdom of God!
25It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God."
26And they were exceedingly astonished, and said to him, "Then who can be saved?"
27Jesus looked at them and said, "With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God."
