But whenever raw flesh appears on him, he shall be unclean.

The priest shall look at the raw flesh, and he shall pronounce him unclean; the raw flesh is unclean, it is leprosy.

But whenever raw flesh appears on him, he will be unclean.

When the priest examines the raw flesh, he must pronounce him unclean. Raw flesh is unclean; this is a serious skin disease.

Chapter 13

But if any open sores appear, the infected person will be pronounced ceremonially unclean.
15
The priest must make this pronouncement as soon as he sees an open sore, since open sores indicate the presence of a skin disease.
