Judges 16:17-18
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 16
17
So he told her all
that was in
his heart and said to her, 'A razor has never come on my head, for I have been a Nazirite to God from my mother’s womb. If I am shaved, then my strength will leave me and I will become weak and be like any
other
man.'
18
When Delilah saw that he had told her all
that was in
his heart, she sent
word
and called the governors of the Philistines, saying, 'Come up once more, for he has told me all
that is in
his heart.' Then the governors of the Philistines came up to her and brought up the money in their hands.
King James Version
Chapter 16
17
That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a rasor upon mine head; for I
have been
a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.
18
And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath showed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 16

he told her the whole truth and said to her, "My hair has never been cut, because I am a Nazirite to God from birth. If I am shaved, my strength will leave me, and I will become weak and be like any other man."
18
When Delilah realized that he had told her the whole truth, she sent this message to the Philistine leaders: "Come one more time, for he has told me the whole truth." The Philistine leaders came to her and brought the silver with them.
New Living Translation
Chapter 16
17
Finally, Samson shared his secret with her. 'My hair has never been cut,' he confessed, 'for I was dedicated to God as a Nazirite from birth. If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as anyone else.'
18
Delilah realized he had finally told her the truth, so she sent for the Philistine rulers. 'Come back one more time,' she said, 'for he has finally told me his secret.' So the Philistine rulers returned with the money in their hands.
