Chapter 3

5Since you have taken My silver and My gold, brought My precious treasures to your temples, 6and sold the sons of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks in order to remove them far from their territory, 7behold, I am going to stir them up from the place where you have sold them, and return your retribution on your head. 8I will also sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the sons of Judah, and they will sell them to the Sabeans, to a distant nation,' for the Lord has spoken.
9Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare for holy war; stir up the warriors! Have all the soldiers come forward, have them come up! 10Beat your plowshares into swords, And your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak man say, 'I am a warrior.'

5Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things: 6The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border. 7Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head: 8And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off: for the LORD hath spoken it.
9Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: 10Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.

9Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare for holy war; rouse the warriors; let all the men of war advance and attack! 10Beat your plows into swords and your pruning knives into spears. Let even the weakling say, "I am a warrior."

5You have taken my silver and gold and all my precious treasures, and have carried them off to your pagan temples. 6You have sold the people of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks, so they could take them far from their homeland.
7But I will bring them back from all the places to which you sold them, and I will pay you back for everything you have done. 8I will sell your sons and daughters to the people of Judah, and they will sell them to the people of Arabia, a nation far away. I, the Lord, have spoken!'
9Say to the nations far and wide: 'Get ready for war! Call out your best warriors. Let all your fighting men advance for the attack. 10Hammer your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Train even your weaklings to be warriors.
