Chapter 3

9Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare for holy war; stir up the warriors! Have all the soldiers come forward, have them come up! 10Beat your plowshares into swords, And your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak man say, 'I am a warrior.' 11 Hurry and come, all you surrounding nations, And gather yourselves there. Bring down, Lord, Your warriors. 12Let the nations be awakened And come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat, For there I will sit to judge All the surrounding nations. 13Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread the grapes, for the wine press is full; The vats overflow, for their wickedness is great. 14Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.

9Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:
10Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.
11Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O Lord.
12Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
13Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
14Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.

11Come quickly, all you surrounding nations; gather yourselves. Bring down your warriors there, Lord. 12Let the nations be roused and come to the Valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit down to judge all the surrounding nations.
13Swing the sickle because the harvest is ripe. Come and trample the grapes because the winepress is full; the wine vats overflow because the wickedness of the nations is extreme. 14Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.

9Say to the nations far and wide: 'Get ready for war! Call out your best warriors. Let all your fighting men advance for the attack. 10Hammer your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Train even your weaklings to be warriors.
11Come quickly, all you nations everywhere. Gather together in the valley.' And now, O Lord, call out your warriors!
12'Let the nations be called to arms. Let them march to the valley of Jehoshaphat. There I, the Lord, will sit to pronounce judgment on them all. 13Swing the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread the grapes, for the winepress is full. The storage vats are overflowing with the wickedness of these people.'
14Thousands upon thousands are waiting in the valley of decision. There the day of the Lord will soon arrive.
