Job 9:8-15

New American Standard Bible

Chapter 9

8 Who alone stretches out the heavens, And tramples down the waves of the sea; 9 Who makes the Bear, Orion, and the Pleiades, And the constellations of the south. 10 It is He who does great things, the unfathomable, And wondrous works without number. 11 If He were to pass by me, I would not see Him; Were He to move past me, I would not perceive Him. 12 If He were to snatch away, who could restrain Him? Who could say to Him, ‘What are You doing?’ 13 'God will not turn back His anger; Beneath Him the helpers of Rahab cower. 14 How then can I answer Him, And choose my words before Him? 15 For though I were right, I could not answer; I would have to implore the mercy of my Judge.
King James Version

Chapter 9

8 Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea. 9 Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south. 10 Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number. 11 Lo, he goeth by me, and I see him not: he passeth on also, but I perceive him not. 12 Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will say unto him, What doest thou? 13 If God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him.
14 How much less shall I answer him, and choose out my words to reason with him? 15 Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer, but I would make supplication to my judge.
Christian Standard Bible

Chapter 9

8 He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea. 9 He makes the stars: the Bear, Orion, the Pleiades, and the constellations of the southern sky. 10 He does great and unsearchable things, wonders without number. 11 If he passed by me, I wouldn't see him; if he went by, I wouldn't recognize him. 12 If he snatches something, who can stop him? Who can ask him, "What are you doing? " 13 God does not hold back his anger; Rahab's assistants cringe in fear beneath him! 14 How then can I answer him or choose my arguments against him? 15 Even if I were in the right, I could not answer. I could only beg my Judge for mercy.
New Living Translation

Chapter 9

8 He alone has spread out the heavens and marches on the waves of the sea. 9 He made all the stars--the Bear and Orion, the Pleiades and the constellations of the southern sky. 10 He does great things too marvelous to understand. He performs countless miracles.
11 'Yet when he comes near, I cannot see him. When he moves by, I do not see him go. 12 If he snatches someone in death, who can stop him? Who dares to ask, 'What are you doing?' 13 And God does not restrain his anger. Even the monsters of the sea are crushed beneath his feet.
14 'So who am I, that I should try to answer God or even reason with him? 15 Even if I were right, I would have no defense. I could only plead for mercy.

Chapter 9

8 who alone stretched out the heavens and trampled the waves of the sea; 9 who made the Bear and Orion, the Pleiades and the chambers of the south; 10 who does great things beyond searching out, and marvelous things beyond number. 11 Behold, he passes by me, and I see him not; he moves on, but I do not perceive him. 12 Behold, he snatches away; who can turn him back? Who will say to him, ‘What are you doing?’ 13 “God will not turn back his anger; beneath him bowed the helpers of Rahab. 14 How then can I answer him, choosing my words with him? 15 Though I am in the right, I cannot answer him; I must appeal for mercy to my accuser.
New International Version

Chapter 9

8 He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea. 9 He is the Maker of the Bear and Orion, the Pleiades and the constellations of the south. 10 He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted. 11 When he passes me, I cannot see him; when he goes by, I cannot perceive him. 12 If he snatches away, who can stop him? Who can say to him, 'What are you doing?'
13 God does not restrain his anger; even the cohorts of Rahab cowered at his feet. 14 How then can I dispute with him? How can I find words to argue with him? 15 Though I were innocent, I could not answer him; I could only plead with my Judge for mercy.
La Biblia de las Américas

Chapter 9

11 Si El pasara junto a mí, no Lo vería; Si me pasara adelante, no Lo percibiría.

12 He aquí, arrebatará; ¿quién le hará restituir?

Chapter 9

12 He aquí, arrebatará; ¿quién le hará restituir?
