Job 36:26-33
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 36
26Behold, God is exalted, and we do not know Him; The number of His years is unsearchable. 27For He draws up the drops of water; They distill rain from its celestial stream, 28Which clouds pour down; They drip upon mankind abundantly. 29Can anyone understand the spreading of the clouds, The thundering of His pavilion? 30Behold, He spreads His lightning about Him, And He covers the depths of the sea. 31For by them He judges peoples; He gives food in abundance. 32He covers His hands with the lightning, And commands it to strike the target. 33Its thundering voice declares His presence; The livestock also, concerning what is coming up.King James Version
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 36
26Yes, God is exalted beyond our knowledge; the number of his years cannot be counted. 27For he makes waterdrops evaporate; they distill the rain into its mist, 28which the clouds pour out and shower abundantly on mankind. 29Can anyone understand how the clouds spread out or how the thunder roars from God’s pavilion? 30See how he spreads his lightning around him and covers the depths of the sea. 31For he judges the nations with these; he gives food in abundance. 32He covers his hands with lightning and commands it to hit its mark. 33The thunder declares his presence; the cattle also, the approaching storm.New Living Translation
Chapter 36
26'Look, God is greater than we can understand. His years cannot be counted. 27He draws up the water vapor and then distills it into rain. 28The rain pours down from the clouds, and everyone benefits. 29Who can understand the spreading of the clouds and the thunder that rolls forth from heaven? 30See how he spreads the lightning around him and how it lights up the depths of the sea. 31By these mighty acts he nourishes the people, giving them food in abundance. 32He fills his hands with lightning bolts and hurls each at its target. 33The thunder announces his presence; the storm announces his indignant anger.English Standard Version
Chapter 36
26Behold, God is great, and we know him not; the number of his years is unsearchable. 27For he draws up the drops of water; they distill his mist in rain, 28which the skies pour down and drop on mankind abundantly. 29Can anyone understand the spreading of the clouds, the thunderings of his pavilion? 30Behold, he scatters his lightning about him and covers the roots of the sea. 31For by these he judges peoples; he gives food in abundance. 32He covers his hands with the lightning and commands it to strike the mark. 33Its crashing declares his presence; the cattle also declare that he rises.New International Version
Chapter 36
26How great is God—beyond our understanding! The number of his years is past finding out. 27"He draws up the drops of water, which distill as rain to the streams ; 28the clouds pour down their moisture and abundant showers fall on mankind. 29Who can understand how he spreads out the clouds, how he thunders from his pavilion? 30See how he scatters his lightning about him, bathing the depths of the sea. 31This is the way he governs the nations and provides food in abundance. 32He fills his hands with lightning and commands it to strike its mark. 33His thunder announces the coming storm; even the cattle make known its approach.New King James Version
