Chapter 34

1Then Elihu continued and said,
2'Hear my words, you wise men, And listen to me, you who understand. 3For the ear tests words As the palate tastes food. 4Let us choose for ourselves what is right; Let us understand among ourselves what is good.

1Furthermore Elihu answered and said, 2Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.
3For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.
4Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.

2Hear my words, you wise ones, and listen to me, you knowledgeable ones. 3Doesn’t the ear test words as the palate tastes food? 4Let us judge for ourselves what is right; let us decide together what is good.
