Chapter 27
5Far be it from me that I should declare you right; Until I die, I will not give up my integrity. 6I have kept hold of my righteousness and will not let it go. My heart does not rebuke any of my days. 7'May my enemy be as the wicked, And my opponent as the criminal. 8For what is the hope of the godless when he makes an end of life, When God requires his life? 9Will God hear his cry When distress comes upon him? 10Or will he take pleasure in the Almighty? Will he call on God at all times? 11I will instruct you in the power of God; What is with the Almighty I will not conceal. 12Behold, all of you have seen it; Why then do you talk of nothing? 13'This is the portion of a wicked person from God, And the inheritance which tyrants receive from the Almighty: 14Though his sons are many, they are destined for the sword; And his descendants will not be satisfied with bread. 15His survivors will be buried because of the plague, And their widows will not be able to weep. 16Though he piles up silver like dust, And prepares garments as plentiful as the clay, 17He may prepare it, but the righteous will wear it And the innocent will divide the silver. 18He has built his house like the spider’s web, Or a hut which the watchman has made. 19He lies down rich, but never again; He opens his eyes, and it no longer exists. 20Terrors overtake him like a flood; A storm steals him away in the night. 21The east wind carries him away, and he is gone; For it sweeps him away from his place.King James Version

5God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me. 6My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.
7Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.
8For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?
9Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?
10Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?
11I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.
12Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; why then are ye thus altogether vain?
13This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.
14If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.
15Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep.
16Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;
17He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.
18He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper maketh.
19The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.
20Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night.
21The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place.

Chapter 27
5I will never affirm that you are right. I will maintain my integrity until I die. 6I will cling to my righteousness and never let it go. My conscience will not accuse me as long as I live! 7May my enemy be like the wicked and my opponent like the unjust. 8For what hope does the godless person have when he is cut off, when God takes away his life? 9Will God hear his cry when distress comes on him? 10Will he delight in the Almighty? Will he call on God at all times? 11I will teach you about God's power. I will not conceal what the Almighty has planned. 12All of you have seen this for yourselves, why do you keep up this empty talk? 13This is a wicked man's lot from God, the inheritance the ruthless receive from the Almighty. 14Even if his children increase, they are destined for the sword; his descendants will never have enough food. 15Those who survive him will be buried by the plague, yet their widows will not weep for them. 16Though he piles up silver like dust and heaps up fine clothing like clay -- 17he may heap it up, but the righteous will wear it, and the innocent will divide up his silver. 18The house he built is like a moth's cocoon or a shelter set up by a watchman. 19He lies down wealthy, but will do so no more; when he opens his eyes, it is gone. 20Terrors overtake him like a flood; a storm wind sweeps him away at night. 21An east wind picks him up, and he is gone; it carries him away from his place.New Living Translation
Chapter 27
5I will never concede that you are right; I will defend my integrity until I die. 6I will maintain my innocence without wavering. My conscience is clear for as long as I live.
7'May my enemy be punished like the wicked, my adversary like those who do evil.
8For what hope do the godless have when God cuts them off and takes away their life?
9Will God listen to their cry when trouble comes upon them?
10Can they take delight in the Almighty? Can they call to God at any time?
11I will teach you about God’s power. I will not conceal anything concerning the Almighty.
12But you have seen all this, yet you say all these useless things to me.
13'This is what the wicked will receive from God; this is their inheritance from the Almighty.
14They may have many children, but the children will die in war or starve to death.
15Those who survive will die of a plague, and not even their widows will mourn them.
16'Evil people may have piles of money and may store away mounds of clothing.
17But the righteous will wear that clothing, and the innocent will divide that money.
18The wicked build houses as fragile as a spider’s web, as flimsy as a shelter made of branches.
19The wicked go to bed rich but wake to find that all their wealth is gone.
20Terror overwhelms them like a flood, and they are blown away in the storms of the night.
21The east wind carries them away, and they are gone. It sweeps them away.
