Jeremiah 42:13-15

Chapter 42
13But if you are going to say, 'We will not stay in this land,' so as not to listen to the voice of the Lord your God, 14saying, 'No, but we will go to the land of Egypt, where we will not see war, or hear the sound of a trumpet, or hunger for bread, and we will stay there'; 15then in that case listen to the word of the Lord, you remnant of Judah. This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says: 'If you really set your minds to enter Egypt and go in to reside there,King James Version

13But if ye say, We will not dwell in this land, neither obey the voice of the LORD your God, 14Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell: 15And now therefore hear the word of the LORD, ye remnant of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; If ye wholly set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to sojourn there;Christian Standard Bible

13"But if you say, 'We will not stay in this land,' in order to disobey the Lord your God, 14and if you say, 'No, instead we'll go to the land of Egypt where we will not see war or hear the sound of the ram's horn or hunger for food, and we'll live there,' 15then hear the word of the Lord, remnant of Judah! This is what the Lord of Armies, the God of Israel, says: 'If you are firmly resolved to go to Egypt and stay there for a while,New Living Translation

13But if you refuse to obey the Lord your God, and if you say, ‘We will not stay here; 14instead, we will go to Egypt where we will be free from war, the call to arms, and hunger,’ 15then hear the Lord’s message to the remnant of Judah.
