Jeremiah 25:10-15
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 25
10Moreover, I will eliminate from them the voice of jubilation and the voice of joy, the voice of the groom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp. 11This entire land will be a place of ruins and an object of horror, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon for seventy years.
12‘Then it will be when seventy years are completed I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation,’ declares the Lord, ‘for their wrongdoing, and the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it an everlasting desolation.
13I will bring upon that land all My words which I have pronounced against it, all that is written in this book which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations.
14( For many nations and great kings will make slaves of them, even them; and I will repay them according to their deeds and according to the work of their hands.)’?'
King James Version
Chapter 25
10Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the candle. 11And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. 12And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations. 13And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations. 14For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands.Christian Standard Bible

10I will eliminate the sound of joy and gladness from them--the voice of the groom and the bride, the sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp. 11This whole land will become a desolate ruin, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon for seventy years. 12When the seventy years are completed, I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation'--this is the Lord's declaration--'the land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity, and I will make it a ruin forever. 13I will bring on that land all my words I have spoken against it, all that is written in this book that Jeremiah prophesied against all the nations. 14For many nations and great kings will enslave them, and I will repay them according to their deeds and the work of their hands.' Chapter 25
10I will take away your happy singing and laughter. The joyful voices of bridegrooms and brides will no longer be heard. Your millstones will fall silent, and the lights in your homes will go out. 11This entire land will become a desolate wasteland. Israel and her neighboring lands will serve the king of Babylon for seventy years.
12Then, after the seventy years of captivity are over, I will punish the king of Babylon and his people for their sins,' says the Lord. 'I will make the country of the Babylonians a wasteland forever.
13I will bring upon them all the terrors I have promised in this book — all the penalties announced by Jeremiah against the nations.
14Many nations and great kings will enslave the Babylonians, just as they enslaved my people. I will punish them in proportion to the suffering they cause my people.'
