11 Sun and moon stood in their lofty places; They went away at the light of Your arrows, At the radiance of Your flashing spear. 12 In indignation You marched through the earth; In anger You trampled the nations. 13 You went forth for the salvation of Your people, For the salvation of Your anointed. You smashed the head of the house of evil To uncover him from foot to neck. Selah 14 You pierced with his own arrows The head of his leaders. 11 The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear. 12 Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger. 13 Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. 11 The sun and moon stood still in the sky as your brilliant arrows flew and your glittering spear flashed.

You marched across the land in anger and trampled the nations in your fury.

You went out to rescue your chosen people, to save your anointed ones. You crushed the heads of the wicked and stripped their bones from head to toe.

With his own weapons, you destroyed the chief of those who rushed out like a whirlwind, thinking Israel would be easy prey.
