Chapter 50
18Then his brothers also came and fell down before him and said, 'Behold, we are your servants.' 19But Joseph said to them, 'Do not be afraid, for am I in God’s place? 20As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to keep many people alive. 21So therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.' So he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.King James Version

19But Joseph said to them, "Don't be afraid. Am I in the place of God?
20You planned evil against me; God planned it for good to bring about the present result--the survival of many people.
21Therefore don't be afraid. I will take care of you and your children." And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.

19But Joseph replied, 'Don’t be afraid of me. Am I God, that I can punish you?
20You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.
21No, don’t be afraid. I will continue to take care of you and your children.' So he reassured them by speaking kindly to them.
