Now as for me, when I came from Paddan, Rachel died, to my sorrow, in the land of Canaan on the journey, when there was still some distance to go to Ephrath. I buried her there on the way to Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem).'

When Israel saw Joseph’s sons, he said, 'Who are these?'

And Joseph said to his father, 'They are my sons, whom God has given me here.' So he said, 'Bring them to me, please, so that I may bless them.'

And as for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan in the way, when yet
there was
but a little way to come unto Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way of Ephrath; the same
is
Bethlehem.

And Israel beheld Joseph's sons, and said, Who
are
these?

And Joseph said unto his father, They
are
my sons, whom God hath given me in this
place
. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them.

Long ago, as I was returning from Paddan-aram, Rachel died in the land of Canaan. We were still on the way, some distance from Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem). So with great sorrow I buried her there beside the road to Ephrath.'

Then Jacob looked over at the two boys. 'Are these your sons?' he asked.

Yes,' Joseph told him, 'these are the sons God has given me here in Egypt.' And Jacob said, 'Bring them closer to me, so I can bless them.'
