New American Standard Bible
Chapter 32
24Then Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until daybreak. 25When the man saw that he had not prevailed against him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was dislocated while he wrestled with him. 26Then he said, 'Let me go, for the dawn is breaking.' But he said, 'I will not let you go unless you bless me.' 27So he said to him, 'What is your name?' And he said, 'Jacob.' 28Then he said, 'Your name shall no longer be Jacob, but Israel; for you have contended with God and with men, and have prevailed.'King James Version
Chapter 32
24And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. 25And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. 26And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. 27And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. 28And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.Christian Standard Bible
