Chapter 32

29And Jacob asked him and said, 'Please tell me your name.' But he said, 'Why is it that you ask my name?' And he blessed him there. 30So Jacob named the place Peniel, for he said, 'I have seen God face to face, yet my life has been spared.' 31Now the sun rose upon him just as he crossed over Penuel, and he was limping on his hip.

29And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. 30And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
31And as he passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him, and he halted upon his thigh.
