Galatians 5:6-10
New American Standard Bible
7You were running well; who hindered you from obeying the truth?
8This persuasion did not come from Him who calls you.
9A little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough.
10I have confidence in you in the Lord, that you will adopt no other view; but the one who is disturbing you will bear the punishment, whoever he is.
King James Version
Chapter 5
6For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. 7Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? 8This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. 9A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. 10I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.Christian Standard Bible
7You were running well. Who prevented you from being persuaded regarding the truth?
8This persuasion does not come from the one who calls you.
9A little leaven leavens the whole batch of dough.
10I myself am persuaded in the Lord you will not accept any other view. But whoever it is that is confusing you will pay the penalty.
New Living Translation
7You were running the race so well. Who has held you back from following the truth?
8It certainly isn’t God, for he is the one who called you to freedom.
9This false teaching is like a little yeast that spreads through the whole batch of dough!
10I am trusting the Lord to keep you from believing false teachings. God will judge that person, whoever he is, who has been confusing you.
English Standard Version
New International Version
7You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth?
8That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you.
9A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough.'
10I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion, whoever that may be, will have to pay the penalty.
