Chapter 48

4Beside the border of Naphtali, from the east side to the west side, Manasseh, one portion. 5Beside the border of Manasseh, from the east side to the west side, Ephraim, one portion. 6Beside the border of Ephraim, from the east side to the west side, Reuben, one portion. 7Beside the border of Reuben, from the east side to the west side, Judah, one portion.
8And beside the border of Judah, from the east side to the west side, shall be the allotment which you shall set apart, twenty-five thousand cubits in width, and in length like one of the portions, from the east side to the west side; and the sanctuary shall be in the middle of it.

Chapter 48

4Next to the territory of Naphtali, from the east side to the west, will be Manasseh--one portion.
5Next to the territory of Manasseh, from the east side to the west, will be Ephraim--one portion.
6Next to the territory of Ephraim, from the east side to the west, will be Reuben--one portion. 7Next to the territory of Reuben, from the east side to the west, will be Judah--one portion.
8"Next to the territory of Judah, from the east side to the west, will be the portion you donate to the Lord, 8 1/3 miles wide, and as long as one of the tribal portions from the east side to the west. The sanctuary will be in the middle of it.

Chapter 48

4Then comes Manasseh south of Naphtali, and its territory also extends from east to west. 5South of Manasseh is Ephraim, 6and then Reuben, 7and then Judah, all of whose boundaries extend from east to west.
8South of Judah is the land set aside for a special purpose. It will be 8 1/3 miles wide and will extend as far east and west as the tribal territories, with the Temple at the center.

4Manasseh will have one portion; it will border the territory of Naphtali from east to west.
5Ephraim will have one portion; it will border the territory of Manasseh from east to west.
6Reuben will have one portion; it will border the territory of Ephraim from east to west.
7Judah will have one portion; it will border the territory of Reuben from east to west.
8Bordering the territory of Judah from east to west will be the portion you are to present as a special gift. It will be 25,000 cubits wide, and its length from east to west will equal one of the tribal portions; the sanctuary will be in the center of it.
