Chapter 40
26There were seven steps going up to it, and its porches were in front of them; and it had palm tree decorations on its side pillars, one on each side. 27The inner courtyard had a gate toward the south; and he measured from gate to gate toward the south, a hundred cubits.
28Then he brought me to the inner courtyard by the south gate; and he measured the south gate according to those same measurements.
29Its guardrooms also, its side pillars, and its porches were according to those same measurements. And the gate and its porches had windows all around; it was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.
30There were porches all around, twenty-five cubits long and five cubits wide.
31And its porches were toward the outer courtyard; and palm tree decorations were on its side pillars, and its stairway had eight steps.
32Then he brought me into the inner courtyard toward the east. And he measured the gate according to those same measurements.
33Its guardrooms also, its side pillars, and its porches were according to those same measurements. And the gate and its porches had windows all around; it was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.
34Its porches were toward the outer courtyard; and palm tree decorations were on its side pillars, on each side, and its stairway had eight steps.

31And the arches thereof were toward the utter court; and palm trees were upon the posts thereof: and the going up to it had eight steps.

33And the little chambers thereof, and the posts thereof, and the arches thereof, were according to these measures: and there were windows therein and in the arches thereof round about: it was fifty cubits long, and five and twenty cubits broad.
34And the arches thereof were toward the outward court; and palm trees were upon the posts thereof, on this side, and on that side: and the going up to it had eight steps.
35And he brought me to the north gate, and measured it according to these measures;

28Then he brought me to the inner court through the south gate. When he measured the south gate, it had the same measurements as the others.
29Its recesses, jambs, and portico had the same measurements as the others. Both it and its portico had windows all around. It was 87 1/2 feet long and 43 3/4 feet wide.
30(There were porticoes all around, 43 3/4 feet long and 8 3/4 feet wide.)

26This gateway also had a stairway of seven steps leading up to it, and an entry room at the inner end, and palm tree decorations along the dividing walls. 27And here again, directly opposite the outer gateway, was another gateway that led into the inner courtyard. The distance between the two gateways was 175 feet.
28Then the man took me to the south gateway leading into the inner courtyard. He measured it, and it had the same measurements as the other gateways.
29Its guard alcoves, dividing walls, and entry room were the same size as those in the others. It also had windows along its walls and in the entry room. And like the others, the gateway passage was 87 1/2 feet long and 43 3/4 feet wide.
30(The entry rooms of the gateways leading into the inner courtyard were 14 feet across and 43 3/4 feet wide.)
31The entry room to the south gateway faced into the outer courtyard. It had palm tree decorations on its columns, and there were eight steps leading to its entrance.
32Then he took me to the east gateway leading to the inner courtyard. He measured it, and it had the same measurements as the other gateways.
33Its guard alcoves, dividing walls, and entry room were the same size as those of the others, and there were windows along the walls and in the entry room. The gateway passage measured 87 1/2 feet long and 43 3/4 feet wide.
34Its entry room faced into the outer courtyard. It had palm tree decorations on its columns, and there were eight steps leading to its entrance.
