says this: ‘I have sworn that the nations that are around you will certainly endure their insults themselves.
8
But as for you, mountains of Israel, you will grow your branches and bear fruit for My people Israel; for they are about to come.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that
are
about you, they shall bear their shame.

But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come.

Therefore, this is what the Lord God says: I swear that the nations all around you will endure their own insults.

" 'You, mountains of Israel, will produce your branches and bear your fruit for my people Israel, since their arrival is near.
New Living Translation

Therefore, this is what the Sovereign
Lord
says: I have taken a solemn oath that those nations will soon have their own shame to endure.

But the mountains of Israel will produce heavy crops of fruit for my people — for they will be coming home again soon!
