Ezekiel 36:23-35

Chapter 36
23And I will vindicate the holiness of My great name which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord,' declares the Lord God, 'when I show Myself holy among you in their sight. 24For I will take you from the nations, and gather you from all the lands; and I will bring you into your own land. 25Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27And I will put My Spirit within you and bring it about that you walk in My statutes, and are careful and follow My ordinances. 28And you will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God. 29Moreover, I will save you from all your uncleanness; and I will call for the grain and multiply it, and I will not bring a famine on you. 30Instead, I will multiply the fruit of the tree and the produce of the field, so that you will not receive again the disgrace of famine among the nations. 31Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight for your wrongdoings and your abominations. 32I am not doing this for your sake,' declares the Lord God; 'let that be known to you. Be ashamed and humiliated for your ways, house of Israel!'
33‘This is what the Lord God says: 'On the day that I cleanse you from all your wrongdoings, I will populate the cities, and the places of ruins will be rebuilt.
34The desolated land will be cultivated instead of being a desolation in the sight of everyone who passes by.
35And they will say, ‘This desolated land has become like the Garden of Eden; and the waste, desolated and ruined cities are fortified and inhabited.’

23And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. 24For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
25Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
26A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
27And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
28And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
29I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.
30And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.
31Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.
32Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.
33Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded.
34And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.
35And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.

24" 'For I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries, and will bring you into your own land.
25I will also sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your impurities and all your idols.
26I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
27I will place my Spirit within you and cause you to follow my statutes and carefully observe my ordinances.
28You will live in the land that I gave your ancestors; you will be my people, and I will be your God.
29I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will summon the grain and make it plentiful, and I will not bring famine on you.
30I will also make the fruit of the trees and the produce of the field plentiful, so that you will no longer experience reproach among the nations on account of famine.
31" 'You will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, and you will loathe yourselves for your iniquities and detestable practices.
32It is not for your sake that I will act--this is the declaration of the Lord God--let this be known to you. Be ashamed and humiliated because of your ways, house of Israel!
33" 'This is what the Lord God says: On the day I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will cause the cities to be inhabited, and the ruins will be rebuilt.
34The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of everyone who passes by.
35They will say, "This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden. The cities that were once ruined, desolate, and demolished are now fortified and inhabited."

Chapter 36
23I will show how holy my great name is — the name on which you brought shame among the nations. And when I reveal my holiness through you before their very eyes, says the Sovereign Lord, then the nations will know that I am the Lord. 24For I will gather you up from all the nations and bring you home again to your land.
25Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols.
26And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.
27And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.
28And you will live in Israel, the land I gave your ancestors long ago. You will be my people, and I will be your God.
29I will cleanse you of your filthy behavior. I will give you good crops of grain, and I will send no more famines on the land.
30I will give you great harvests from your fruit trees and fields, and never again will the surrounding nations be able to scoff at your land for its famines.
31Then you will remember your past sins and despise yourselves for all the detestable things you did.
32But remember, says the Sovereign Lord, I am not doing this because you deserve it. O my people of Israel, you should be utterly ashamed of all you have done!
33This is what the Sovereign Lord says: When I cleanse you from your sins, I will repopulate your cities, and the ruins will be rebuilt.
34The fields that used to lie empty and desolate in plain view of everyone will again be farmed.
35And when I bring you back, people will say, ‘This former wasteland is now like the Garden of Eden! The abandoned and ruined cities now have strong walls and are filled with people!’

32I want you to know that I am not doing this for your sake, declares the Sovereign LORD. Be ashamed and disgraced for your conduct, people of Israel!
33'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: On the day I cleanse you from all your sins, I will resettle your towns, and the ruins will be rebuilt.
34The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass through it.
35They will say, 'This land that was laid waste has become like the garden of Eden; the cities that were lying in ruins, desolate and destroyed, are now fortified and inhabited.'
