Chapter 36
14for that reason you will no longer devour people and no longer bereave your nation of children,’ declares the Lord God. 15I will not let you hear insults from the nations anymore, nor will you suffer disgrace from the peoples any longer, nor will you make your nation stumble any longer,' declares the Lord God.’?'
16Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
17Son of man, when the house of Israel was living on their own land, they defiled it by their ways and their deeds; their way before Me was like the uncleanness of a woman in her impurity.
18Therefore I poured out My wrath on them for the blood which they had shed on the land, because they had defiled it with their idols.
King James Version
Chapter 36
14Therefore thou shalt devour men no more, neither bereave thy nations any more, saith the Lord GOD. 15Neither will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the heathen any more, neither shalt thou bear the reproach of the people any more, neither shalt thou cause thy nations to fall any more, saith the Lord GOD.
16Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
17Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman.
18Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it:

16The word of the Lord came to me:
17"Son of man, while the house of Israel lived in their land, they defiled it with their conduct and actions. Their behavior before me was like menstrual impurity.

16Then this further message came to me from the Lord:
17Son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their own land, they defiled it by the evil way they lived. To me their conduct was as unclean as a woman’s menstrual cloth.
18They polluted the land with murder and the worship of idols, so I poured out my fury on them.

16Again the word of the LORD came to me:
17Son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their own land, they defiled it by their conduct and their actions. Their conduct was like a woman's monthly uncleanness in my sight.
