Now in the twelfth year of our exile, on the fifth of the tenth month, the survivor from Jerusalem came to me, saying, 'The city has been taken.'

Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.

And it came to pass in the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, in the fifth day of the month, that one that had escaped out of Jerusalem came unto me, saying, The city is smitten.

In the twelfth year of our exile, in the tenth month, on the fifth day of the month, a fugitive from Jerusalem came to me and reported, "The city has been taken!"

O people of Israel, you are saying, ‘The Lord isn’t doing what’s right.’ But I judge each of you according to your deeds.'

On January 8, during the twelfth year of our captivity, a survivor from Jerusalem came to me and said, 'The city has fallen!'
