Chapter 32
4I will leave you on the land; I will hurl you on the open field. And I will cause all the birds of the sky to nest on you, And I will satisfy the animals of the whole earth with you. 5I will lay your flesh on the mountains And fill the valleys with your refuse. 6I will also make the land drink the discharge of your blood As far as the mountains, And the ravines will be full of you. 7And when I extinguish you, I will cover the heavens and darken their stars; I will cover the sun with a cloud And the moon will not give its light.
9I will also trouble the hearts of many peoples when I bring your destruction among the nations, into lands which you have not known.
10And I will make many peoples appalled at you, and their kings will be horribly afraid of you when I brandish My sword before them; and they will tremble again and again, every person for his own life, on the day of your fall.'
12By the swords of the warriors I will make your multitude fall; all of them are tyrants of the nations, And they will devastate the pride of Egypt, And all its multitude will be destroyed.
13I will also eliminate all its cattle from beside many waters; And a human foot will not muddy them anymore, And the hoofs of animals will not muddy them.
14Then I will make their waters settle, And make their rivers run like oil,' Declares the Lord God.

4Then will I leave thee upon the land, I will cast thee forth upon the open field, and will cause all the fowls of the heaven to remain upon thee, and I will fill the beasts of the whole earth with thee. 5And I will lay thy flesh upon the mountains, and fill the valleys with thy height. 6I will also water with thy blood the land wherein thou swimmest, even to the mountains; and the rivers shall be full of thee. 7And when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light. 8All the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over thee, and set darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord GOD. 9I will also vex the hearts of many people, when I shall bring thy destruction among the nations, into the countries which thou hast not known. 10Yea, I will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall. 11For thus saith the Lord GOD; The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon thee. 12By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall, the terrible of the nations, all of them: and they shall spoil the pomp of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed. 13I will destroy also all the beasts thereof from beside the great waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them. 14Then will I make their waters deep, and cause their rivers to run like oil, saith the Lord GOD. 15When I shall make the land of Egypt desolate, and the country shall be destitute of that whereof it was full, when I shall smite all them that dwell therein, then shall they know that I am the LORD.Christian Standard Bible

4I will abandon you on the land and throw you onto the open field. I will cause all the birds of the sky to settle on you and let the wild creatures of the entire earth eat their fill of you. 5I will put your flesh on the mountains and fill the valleys with your carcass. 6I will drench the land with the flow of your blood, even to the mountains; the ravines will be filled with your gore. 7" 'When I snuff you out, I will cover the heavens and darken their stars. I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon will not give its light.
8I will darken all the shining lights in the heavens over you, and will bring darkness on your land. This is the declaration of the Lord God.
9" 'I will trouble the hearts of many peoples, when I bring about your destruction among the nations, in countries you have not known.
10I will cause many peoples to be appalled at you, and their kings will shudder with fear because of you when I brandish my sword in front of them. On the day of your downfall each of them will tremble every moment for his life.
11" 'For this is what the Lord God says: The sword of Babylon's king will come against you!
12I will make your hordes fall by the swords of warriors, all of them ruthless men from the nations. They will ravage Egypt's pride, and all its hordes will be destroyed.
13I will slaughter all its cattle that are beside many waters. No human foot will churn them again, and no cattle hooves will disturb them.

4I will leave you stranded on the land to die. All the birds of the heavens will land on you, and the wild animals of the whole earth will gorge themselves on you. 5I will scatter your flesh on the hills and fill the valleys with your bones. 6I will drench the earth with your gushing blood all the way to the mountains, filling the ravines to the brim. 7When I blot you out, I will veil the heavens and darken the stars. I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon will not give you its light. 8I will darken the bright stars overhead and cover your land in darkness. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!
9I will disturb many hearts when I bring news of your downfall to distant nations you have never seen.
10Yes, I will shock many lands, and their kings will be terrified at your fate. They will shudder in fear for their lives as I brandish my sword before them on the day of your fall.
11For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: 'The sword of the king of Babylon will come against you.
12I will destroy your hordes with the swords of mighty warriors — the terror of the nations. They will shatter the pride of Egypt, and all its hordes will be destroyed.
13I will destroy all your flocks and herds that graze beside the streams. Never again will people or animals muddy those waters with their feet.
14Then I will let the waters of Egypt become calm again, and they will flow as smoothly as olive oil, says the Sovereign Lord.
15And when I destroy Egypt and strip you of everything you own and strike down all your people, then you will know that I am the Lord.

14Then I will let her waters settle and make her streams flow like oil, declares the Sovereign LORD.
15When I make Egypt desolate and strip the land of everything in it, when I strike down all who live there, then they will know that I am the LORD.'
