Ezekiel 16:5-6
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 16
5
No eye looked with pity on you to do any of these things for you, to have compassion on you. Rather you were thrown out into the open field, for you were abhorred on the day you were born.
6
When I passed by you and saw you squirming in your blood, I said to you
while you were
in your blood, ‘Live!’ Yes, I said to you
while you were
in your blood, ‘Live!’
King James Version
Chapter 16
5
None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born.
6
And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 16
5
No one cared enough about you to do even one of these things out of compassion for you. But you were thrown out into the open field because you were despised on the day you were born.
6
"‘I passed by you and saw you thrashing around in your blood, and I said to you as you lay in your blood, "Live!" Yes, I said to you as you lay in your blood, "Live!"
New Living Translation
Chapter 16
5
No one had the slightest interest in you; no one pitied you or cared for you. On the day you were born, you were unwanted, dumped in a field and left to die.
6
But I came by and saw you there, helplessly kicking about in your own blood. As you lay there, I said, ‘Live!’
English Standard Version
Chapter 16
5
No eye pitied you, to do any of these things to you out of compassion for you, but you were cast out on the open field, for you were abhorred, on the day that you were born.
6
"And when I passed by you and saw you wallowing in your blood, I said to you in your blood, ‘Live!’ I said to you in your blood, ‘Live!’
New International Version
Chapter 16
5
No one looked on you with pity or had compassion enough to do any of these things for you. Rather, you were thrown out into the open field, for on the day you were born you were despised.
6
" ‘Then I passed by and saw you kicking about in your blood, and as you lay there in your blood I said to you, "Live!"
New King James Version
Chapter 16
5
No eye pitied you, to do any of these things for you, to have compassion on you; but you were thrown out into the open field, when you yourself were loathed on the day you were born.
6
“And when I passed by you and saw you struggling in your own blood, I said to you in your blood, ‘Live!’ Yes, I said to you in your blood, ‘Live!’
