Ezekiel 12:21-28
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 12
21Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 22Son of man, what is this proverb you people have about the land of Israel, saying, ‘The days are long, and every vision fails’? 23Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Lord God says: 'I will put an end to this proverb so that they will no longer use it as a proverb in Israel.' But tell them, 'The days are approaching as well as the fulfillment of every vision. 24For there will no longer be any false vision or deceptive divination within the house of Israel. 25For I the Lord will speak whatever word I speak, and it will be performed. It will no longer be delayed, for in your days, you rebellious house, I will speak the word and perform it,' declares the Lord God.’?'
26Furthermore, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
27Son of man, behold, the house of Israel is saying, ‘The vision that he sees is for many years from now, and he prophesies of times far off.’
28Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Lord God says: 'None of My words will be delayed any longer. Whatever word I speak will be performed,'?’?' declares the Lord God.

Chapter 12
21And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 22Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth? 23Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision. 24For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel. 25For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD. 26Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 27Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are far off. 28Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 12
21Again the word of the Lord came to me: 22"Son of man, what is this proverb you people have about the land of Israel, which goes, 'The days keep passing by, and every vision fails'? 23Therefore say to them, 'This is what the Lord God says: I will put a stop to this proverb, and they will not use it again in Israel.' But say to them, 'The days have arrived, as well as the fulfillment of every vision. 24For there will no longer be any false vision or flattering divination within the house of Israel. 25But I, the Lord, will speak whatever message I will speak, and it will be done. It will no longer be delayed. For in your days, rebellious house, I will speak a message and bring it to pass. This is the declaration of the Lord God.' "
26The word of the Lord came to me:
27"Son of man, notice that the house of Israel is saying, 'The vision that he sees concerns many years from now; he prophesies about distant times.'
28Therefore say to them, 'This is what the Lord God says: None of my words will be delayed any longer. The message I speak will be fulfilled. This is the declaration of the Lord God.' "

Chapter 12
21Again a message came to me from the Lord: 22Son of man, you’ve heard that proverb they quote in Israel: ‘Time passes, and prophecies come to nothing.’ 23Tell the people, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will put an end to this proverb, and you will soon stop quoting it.’ Now give them this new proverb to replace the old one: ‘The time has come for every prophecy to be fulfilled!’
24There will be no more false visions and flattering predictions in Israel.
25For I am the Lord! If I say it, it will happen. There will be no more delays, you rebels of Israel. I will fulfill my threat of destruction in your own lifetime. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!'
26Then this message came to me from the Lord:
27Son of man, the people of Israel are saying, ‘He’s talking about the distant future. His visions won’t come true for a long, long time.’
28Therefore, tell them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: No more delay! I will now do everything I have threatened. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!’'
