Chapter 11

16Therefore say, ‘This is what the Lord God says: 'Though I had removed them far away among the nations, and though I had scattered them among the countries, yet I was a sanctuary for them for a little while in the countries where they had gone.'?’ 17Therefore say, ‘This is what the Lord God says: 'I will gather you from the peoples and assemble you from the countries among which you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.'?’ 18When they come there, they will remove all its detestable things and all its abominations from it.

16Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.
17Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
18And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence.

16Therefore, tell the exiles, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Although I have scattered you in the countries of the world, I will be a sanctuary to you during your time in exile. 17I, the Sovereign Lord, will gather you back from the nations where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel once again.’
18When the people return to their homeland, they will remove every trace of their vile images and detestable idols.
